Our new website is up and running. We've made many changes and added content. Among the most important new features are the new calculators that we've added. The first is a calculator that gives a rough estimate of the Tier that a given data center should be given the revenue of a company. That can be found here. Also, we've created a calculator that estimates the amount of savings from an Outside Air Economizer. That calculator can be found here. We hope that you enjoy the new site.

Outside Air Economizers (OAE) can significantly reduce the electrical costs of HVAC equipment in Datacenters. OAE can be installed for low cost yet provide significant payback in as little as two years. However, OAE has some drawbacks including issues with particulate introduction and possible issues related to humidity. These issues require careful engineering. Green Lane has experience with OAE and is able to provide solutions that fit individual Datacenter clients.

Datacenter Commissioning is a necessary step toward ensuring a reliable datacenter, but it must not stop after the client puts servers into racks. Additional projects also require commissioning to ensure that the parts work properly. Omitting subsequent commissioning is like only washing your hands once before cooking. During the process you handle chicken, fish, lettuce and carrots and can spread bacteria from one item to another. The process requires additional checks.
